No More Allergies!

During my adolescence I was never afflicted with allergies and rarely ever got a cold or sore throat. Being a typical reckless teenager, I damaged my back and neck riding (and crashing) skateboards, B.M.X. bicycles and body surfing.  By the time I was eighteen, I had developed chronic strep throat requiring the removal of my tonsils and adenoids.

Less than a year after the removal of my tonsils, I started to experience quite severe allergies sensitive to pollen and drastic weather changes. These allergy attacks affected my work performance and personal life.  It's hard to work or have fun when you're constantly sneezing and coughing.  These allergies also required me to take a prescription antihistamine twice a day nearly every day for the past seven years, but even those only minimized the severity -- never totally eliminating them.

By the time I was 23 years old, I had twice pinched a nerve in my back at work requiring physical therapy.  Although I had long suspected the relationship between my neck problems and allergies, I always kept putting off getting help.  After experiencing pain and stiffness in my shoulder and neck after weight lifting, I decided to seek chiropractic help.

Since I have been visiting Dr. MacAdam, the shoulder pain is totally gone allowing me to increase my work out regimen.  Although this (along with the improved mobility of my neck) is excellent, the most important result from these treatments has been the almost complete end to my allergies.  Since I have been receiving treatments, I have not had one major allergy attack.  Now that it is spring (my worse time) I have barely been affected.  I know for a fact that these treatments have definitely made a positive impact on my health and allergies.
